‘Cul(i)ture’, a creative cultural and culinary discovery tour 12-19 October 2025

This trip is organised based on the request of a group of people with a variety of interests. What they have in common is that they all like to have a fun group holiday with a variety of activities, that seduces them to not to be just an average tourist. On the contrary, they like to have some creative, culinary and cultural experiences and to discover more about the local area and the scenery around. The starting point for this trip is Alsettimocielo.

The activities on offer: as with a traditional potters' locale, working with clay is a must. The same goes for cooking. Umbria is known as a region where ‘si mangia bene’ (where the food is good), because for centuries Umbria has been a papal zone; and we all know that the pope and his pals appreciated tasty cuisine. The cooking classes will be guided by a local Umbrian cook.

We can learn to make rapid sketches to record things from our discovery tour, and we might work out in detail some of the sketches in acrylics. There is a possibility to make a small mosaic, inspired by the mosaics on the facade of the famous duomo of Orvieto. The local cook can instruct you with weaving with olive branches. In addition we will make some excursions in the area related to the activities, sometimes to sights that you wouldn’t find easily as a typical tourist. All in all a full programme, where you might have to choose among different options.

A more detailed itinerary will be sent 2 weeks before the guest's planned arrival.

Terms and conditions

Price €1025 per person, based on stay in a double room* and at least 4 participants. If available, one can rent a single room at an additional price of €350.

Deposit

A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking with the full balance due 30 days prior to arrival. The fee includes:

  • transfer on arrival and departure to/from the train station of either Fabro or Orvieto, assuming that all participants arrive and depart at the same time and the same station;
  • transport to and from any excursions from Alsettimocielo;
  • accommodation with all breakfasts, 3 lunches and 3 dinners at Alsettimocielo, modest wine
    consumption included (2 glasses with each meal not including breakfast);
  • cooking sessions, creative activities, excursions or treks as outlined in the itinerary (or equivalent in case of changes to the itinerary owing to circumstances beyond our control ); and
  • all art materials and tuition as specified in the itinerary.

Not included in the fee:

  • drinks not included with the meals,
  • entrance tickets to all excursions, and
  • anything not specified above.

cancellation of the tour by Alsettimocielo

Alsettimocielo can cancel the tour in case of insufficient number of participants (less than 4) or force majeure/unavoidable circumstances. You will be notified accordingly in writing (e-mail) if possible up to 4 weeks before the planned arrival date. In case of force majeure (e.g. flooding, earthquakes, landslides) it might not always be possible to inform you up to 4 weeks before planned arrival.

In case Alsettimocielo cancels the tour package for any reason before departure, except in cases in
which the minimum number of participants has not been reached or for unavoidable circumstances, the customer may chose from:

  • another tour package of the same price or more at no additional cost;
  • a less expensive package and receive a refund of the difference; or
  • a total refund of payment within 7 weekdays from the date on which the client reveals his choice.

Complaints

Complaints must be lodged preferably immediately at Asettimocielo in order to enable the organisation to solve the problem directly. The customer can also forward complaints via e-mail with sent message confirmation to alsettimocielo@gmail.com within 10 weekdays exactly from the date of the trip/services.

Customer responsibilities

The customer is expected to be adequately insured (i.e. damage/theft/accident/illness/general
calamities, etc.) and proceed according to the rules of common sense and safety, as well as the rules set out by Alsettimocielo. Abiding by the laws of the country which guests are visiting also obtains. The customer who does not respect the above mentioned rules will be held responsible for any
damages to Alsettimocielo.

Competent court

Any possible controversy will be judged by the rechtbank Gelderland, the Netherlands.

Una settimana delle sorprese, a cultural culinary surprise trip with alsettimocielo

Alsettimocielo, in seventh heaven, offers customized package trips to Umbria/Tuscany. The packages are composed on desire of the client and by mutual agreement between the client and alsettimocielo.

Hereunder we’ll give you two examples of possible packages. Of course combinations are possible. Changes can be made by mutual agreement. Apart from that we can propose more possibilities. Changes influence the price. Customized packages start from 995 euro per person per week, based on a stay in a 2-persons bedroom.
